The account
A tenth-century ship found off Cirebon held one of the richest cargoes ever raised from Indonesian waters, gold, gems, and a half million pieces of porcelain.
How it was found
- Indonesian fishermen kept snagging old porcelain in their nets off Cirebon, which led to the 2004 salvage of a 10th-century cargo of hundreds of thousands of artifacts.
