A plough in Norfolk kept turning up gold until archaeologists found the source, a series of buried nests of Iron Age torcs, the finest Celtic gold in Britain.
How it was found
- A ploughman in Norfolk kept turning up gold through the 1940s and 50s; archaeologists traced it to buried nests of Iron Age torcs, and a 1990 dig found the magnificent Great Torc.
