The account
Workers near Villena in 1963 uncovered fifty-nine objects of Bronze Age gold, bowls and bracelets nearly three thousand years old, one of the greatest gold hoards of prehistoric Europe. The strangest twist came decades later: two of its pieces were forged from iron that fell from the sky, metal not of this world, worked by hands that had no word for 'meteorite.'
