On Handling Significant Finds

Some finds belong to history, not a pocket.

If you uncover something that looks old, human, or archaeologically significant, bones, structured remains, caches, or worked artifacts, stop disturbing the site.

Record the location, photograph in place, and report to the appropriate authority. Reporting protects the record and, in many places, is the law.
