On Reading a Beach After a Storm
Storms move sand and reveal what it hid.
After heavy surf, look for cuts, troughs, and exposed hard-pack where lighter sand has washed away. These low spots concentrate heavier objects.
Work the slope methodically and watch the tide. Always check local rules before detecting a beach, some are protected.
